Social Networking Christmas Dinners

Today is the start of our Christmas dinners for our Hub members. 

We are hosting socially distanced Christmas meals for our clients twice per day until Thursday to treat our members.

They will receive a gift, enjoy a yummy roast dinner and play games such as bingo for prizes.

Croydon Fire Service will be attending both meals each day to give a brief talk on fire safety and taking details for those who would like smoke alarms fitted and they will be fitting them for free.

Pension Protection Fund Deliver Festive Cheer

Once again, our very good friends at the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) have exceeded our expectations with their kindness and generosity. Today they visited the Hub with Christmas Hampers for the members and a massive pile of Christmas gifts for the children of members. Thank you so much to everyone at the PPF for their kindness, thoughtfulness and for making Christmas go with a swing.

It’s looking a lot like Christmas . .

At our shop in Addiscombe. Largely due to the skill and dedication of all of the staff and volunteers, the Mind in Croydon shop in Addiscombe is looking absolutely fantastic. In particular, our wonderful volunteer, Adrian, has created new Christmas decorations for the shop that are absolutely stunning. He has also crafted beautiful Christmas centrepiece decorations which are for sale. We are all so appreciative of his efforts and his talents. Quite rightly, the shop has been shortlisted for an award for its appearance. So get down to 289 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 6RE to have a look at the shop, get some last minute gifts and support the work of Mind in Croydon.

Welfare Benefits Advice Line Closed Until January

Due to staff shortages and the festive period the advice line will be closed from Thursday 14th December 2017 and reopen on Thursday 4th January 2018.

The Welfare Rights Team at Croydon Council provide benefits advice and help. The freephone number for this service is 0800 731 5920.

Citizen’s Advice Croydon are also contactable on 020 8684 2236 until Thursday 21st December and reopens on Tuesday 2nd January.
